Soochow Dushu Lake Hospital

The Soochow Dushu Lake Hospital (Dushu Lake Hospital affiliated to Soochow University and Soochow University Medical Center) is the first public tertiary hospital in Soochow Industrial Park district and is directly affiliated to the Soochow University. It is a comprehensive medical institution, integrating medical treatment, teaching and research. The hospital officially opened on December 30, 2020.

The hospital features a hybrid operating room with a digital subtraction angiography (DSA) system, a 256-row high-speed CT scanner, a flat-panel detector DSA suite, an imported high-precision extracorporeal shock wave lithotripter (ESWL), a 3,0 Tesla MRI scanner, as well as single-photon emission CT (SPECT) and an Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) machine. The hospital carries out multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment (MDT) to ensure the correct diagnosis and safe treatment of cases at the various departments of the hospital as well as correct emergency procedures for patients in critical condition.

The hospital hosts 39 clinical departments, 7 medical technology departments and 2 research institutes. The hospital features three platforms: the Clinical Radiology Diagnosis and Treatment Platform, the Clinical Special Testing and Translation Platform and the MR-DSA-CT surgery Platform; the hospital established three additional centers, namely the National Malignant Tumor Clinical Medical Research Center South Jiangsu Branch, the Clinical Multidisciplinary Endoscopy Center, and the Regional International Diagnostic Center. With these centers, the hospital is fully able to integrate its clinical treatment, training, and research divisions.
